Tom Bannister

I care a lot about people and enjoy helping them succeed with their websites.

I stay up to date with internet information technology and I focus on web standards. I’m constantly improving my skills with the latest techniques and I strive to do my very best—always.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been interested in publishing and expressing myself through writing and art. I also love technology and business—all this serves me well doing web design.

My passion is designing, re-designing or making improvements to websites. As an independent web designer/developer I’m a generalist who enjoys keeping up with everything from graphics to programming to online services.

I code websites using the latest best practices—these days (it’s October 2010 as I write this) that’s using a hybrid of code that includes HTML5, CSS3 and probably a dash of JQuery on the front end (the front end is what you see in your browser). On the server side I like to work with Apache and PHP although I’m comfortable working with other technologies and languages. As part of a larger team I would probably migrate to being a front end designer.

I’m an Electronics Engineering Technologist and have many years experience including Product Engineer for an electronics manufacturer and an AC Drive Applications Specialist focusing on industrial motor control applications and machine automation.

Most of all I want to help you make your website successful .

Sincerely,
Tom Bannister
