Space to Thrive—A social worker’s website and blog.

This is an example of a CMS (content management system) website using a CMS that I like very much called Textpattern. One of the reasons I like it is that I can make sites with it that are lightweight and fast loading which is very important for keeping users’ interest. Site owner’s also appreciate it’s simple uncluttered dashboard.

The website belongs to a social worker in private practice who helps clients deal with clutter and disorganization. Actually, this client is my life partner and although she claims I just need to invoice her I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t be a good idea!

In addition to being able to edit the site yourself a CMS allows for many more pages of content to be easily managed. Shirley is able to write and post articles to her site by herself. She can also edit any of the pages and add new articles or posts.

The site renders with search engine friendly fully compliant code and ‘clean’ URLs for each and every article.

Shirley always seemed surprised and delighted when she discovers someone is reading her blog. The website has also been a great resource for clients to check her out and has definitely helped generate leads for her business.
